The research authors stated that they \u201crecognise that statements in the paper could have been misleading by implying a causal inference\u201d they did not intend. They explained that their \u201cexploratory\u201d findings should not be seen as \u201cconfirmatory or evidence for a causal relationship.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">Since the \u2018exploratory\u2019 research used to justify exclusion cannot prove a causal relationship, World Athletics must act immediately to withdraw the current DSD Regulations.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">As a result, women\u2019s sport organisations have called on the <em>IOC,<\/em> and <em>International Sport Federations<\/em> to show leadership on this issue, asking them to immediately suspend such regulations and to create an even and safe playing field for all sportswomen by ensuring that any future regulations by sport governing bodies are based on independent and robust research evidence.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><em><strong><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\"><a id=\"fra\"><\/a>FRA<\/span><\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\"><strong>Le sport f\u00e9minin appelle \u00e0 une action mondiale contre les crit\u00e8res d\u2019\u00e9ligibilit\u00e9 qui r\u00e8glementent les femmes sportives<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">Les trois organisations mondiales majeures<sup>1<\/sup> de sport f\u00e9minin lancent un appel \u00e0 l\u2019action pour que des mesures soient prises afin de retirer imm\u00e9diatement les r\u00e8glements controvers\u00e9s du DDS de World Athletics,<sup>2 <\/sup>et les r\u00e8glements similaires appliqu\u00e9s par d\u2019autres organisations sportives du mouvement olympique.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">Ce sont des r\u00e8glements qui excluent des comp\u00e9titions \u00e9lites certaines athl\u00e8tes f\u00e9minines, comme Caster Semenya, \u00e0 moins qu\u2019elles ne prennent des mesures m\u00e9dicales pour abaisser artificiellement leur niveau naturel de testost\u00e9rone.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">Le 17 ao\u00fbt, le \u201cBritish Journal of Sports Medicine\u201d a publi\u00e9 une correction qui invalide les recherches utilis\u00e9es pour justifier le r\u00e8glement DDS de World Athletics.
