The International Working Group (IWG) on Women and Sport is proud to announce its formal commitment to England Golf\u2019s<\/a> Respect in Golf<\/em> movement \u2014 a powerful initiative designed to foster a culture of fairness, safety and belonging across all levels of the game.<\/p>\n

IWG is proud to join a growing list of signatories, including GolfMagic<\/a> and the Golf Club Managers\u2019 Association<\/a> (GCMA), in pledging to uphold and promote the core values of respect, inclusivity, and accessibility in golf.<\/p>\n

The Respect in Golf<\/em> movement, led by England Golf, has seen all 60 counties and 1,735 affiliated golf clubs commit to the England Golf Terms of Affiliation. The initiative underscores the governing body\u2019s dedication to stamping out discrimination and making golf more welcoming to everyone, regardless of background, identity, or ability.<\/p>\n

\u201cSigning England Golf\u2019s Respect in Golf<\/em> pledge was an easy decision. Golf should be a game for everyone \u2013 regardless of background, ability, or identity. As the sport continues to evolve, it’s crucial that we all play our part in driving inclusivity and ensuring discrimination has no place on or off the course.\u201d<\/h4>\n<\/blockquote>\n

\u201cRespect in Golf runs through everything we do and we\u2019re thrilled that organisations both inside and outside of golf are supporting our movement. Long-held perceptions of the game really are changing, and we are seeing more and more people get into the game at various ages, abilities, and from different backgrounds. We are making the game more inclusive and accessible to all, which is helping us to drive participation numbers and engagement.\u201d<\/h4>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Through this pledge, IWG reaffirms its ongoing commitment to cross-sector collaboration and the sharing of global good practice.
