Helen Clark ONZ<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/old.iwgwomenandsport.org\/es\/about\/iwg-patron\/\">The Rt Hon. Helen Clark ONZ<\/a> will be present at a luncheon event in Auckland, New Zealand, on Tuesday 7 May to help mark 25 years since the establishment of the International Working Group (IWG) on Women and Sport, the world\u2019s largest network dedicated to empowering women and girls and advancing sport. The IWG Secretariat &amp; Conference 2018-2022 is currently hosted by New Zealand. <a href=\"https:\/\/old.iwgwomenandsport.org\/es\/new-patron-and-conference-dates-announced\/\">Helen Clark was recently announced as Patron of the IWG, and its delivery agent, Women in Sport Aotearoa New Zealand<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">The luncheon will be hosted by an array of \u201cCaptains\u201d from New Zealand sport and recreation and will include a mix of athletes, coaches, CEOs and board directors. Following on from the lunch, there will be a panel discussion, involving Helen Clark and business and sports leaders. The panel will focus on gender equity in the workplace and discuss why diverse leadership drives high performance.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">This event is being hosted by <a href=\"https:\/\/old.iwgwomenandsport.org\/es\/about\/iwg-secretariat\/secretariat-2018-2022\/\">Women in Sport Aotearoa New Zealand<\/a>, in partnership with the Trans-Tasman Business Circle. Funds raised will assist New Zealand\u2019s delivery of the IWG Secretariat &amp; Conference 2018-2022 and contribute to facilitating local programmes focussed on ensuring that women and girls gain equity of opportunity to participate, compete and build careers in sport and recreation.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\"><strong>Helen Clark said:<\/strong> \u201cWomen and girls continue to be underrepresented across all facets of business and sport. Now, more than ever, our nation Aotearoa New Zealand must work together to include everyone, no matter their gender, ethnicity, faith or beliefs, sexual orientation, or physical abilities. Our leaders must support the drive toward greater diversity and inclusiveness.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\"><strong>Raewyn Lovett, IWG Co-Chair New Zealand, said:<\/strong> \u201cTo be able to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the IWG while it is hosted by Aotearoa New Zealand is fantastic. It was also announced that the 8<sup>th<\/sup> IWG World Conference will take place between 5-8 May 2022 at the New Zealand International Convention Centre (NZICC) in T\u0101maki Makaurau, Aotearoa; Auckland, New Zealand.
