{"id":4780,"date":"2021-07-19T14:20:49","date_gmt":"2021-07-19T04:20:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/iwgwomenandsport.org\/?p=4780"},"modified":"2021-07-20T07:53:05","modified_gmt":"2021-07-19T21:53:05","slug":"charlotte-guscott-gregory-joins-the-iwg-team","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/old.iwgwomenandsport.org\/es\/charlotte-guscott-gregory-joins-the-iwg-team\/","title":{"rendered":"Charlotte Guscott-Gregory joins the IWG team"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\"><strong>IWG New Zealand Secretariat, Women in Sport Aotearoa (WISPA) is delighted to announce the appointment of Charlotte Guscott-Gregory to the senior fixed-term position of Project Manager.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">Charlotte is a professional programme and project manager, who specialises in operational planning and delivery, strategic thinking, stakeholder management, problem-solving and risk management.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">Over the past five years, she has worked in project leadership positions across a number of high-profile sporting events, including the Gold Coast Commonwealth Games 2018, the ASB Classic 2018, the Rugby League World Cup 2017, World Masters Games 2017 and Volvo Ocean Race Auckland Stopover 2015.\u00a0More recently from 2018 through to now, she has branched out into local and central government and has worked for Sport New Zealand, Callaghan Innovation\u00a0and MBIE. For\u00a0many months held a lead planning role with APEC 2021 New Zealand for both Auckland Unlimited and then MFAT,\u00a0before this project moved to a digital delivery model due to COVID-19.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">Charlotte will oversee the staging of the Sport NZ Women + Girls Summit in September 2021 and continue the\u00a0excellent\u00a0work done to date on the 8<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0IWG World Conference on Women\u00a0&amp;\u00a0Sport in May 2022.\u00a0The latter is one of the \u201cbig four\u201d women\u2019s sports events coming to Aotearoa between 2021 \u2013 2023, with the women\u2019s World Cups in Rugby, Cricket and Football also being hosted. It is the largest global gathering of experts on gender equity in sport and physical activity, with 2,000+ expected across the physical-digital hybrid programme.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\"><strong>Rachel Froggatt, Secretary General of IWG said:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">\u201cWe have an exciting period of programme delivery ahead of us and Charlotte\u2019s deep experience in the events sector coupled with her outgoing personality will make a real impact over the next 12 months,\u00a0and in particular, continue to give our key stakeholders the support needed to leverage the exceptional opportunity for change offered by the 8<sup>th<\/sup>IWG World Conference on Women &amp; Sport.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">We are so pleased to have someone of Charlotte\u2019s calibre on our team and look forward to doing some great work together.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\"><strong>Charlotte Guscott-Gregory, Project Manager, said:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">\u201cI am thrilled to join the Women in Sport Aotearoa team at such an exciting time.
