IWG has today published the Year Two Annual Report, which details the work of the IWG Secretariat during its second year in the UK.<\/span><\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Key highlights from the report<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Connections<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

During the 2023-2024 period, we maintained and built upon our strong relationships with key stakeholders from around the world to enhance IWG’s global reach.<\/span><\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

As part of IWG’s 30th <\/span><\/span><\/span>Anniversary <\/span><\/span><\/span>celebrations, we launched the monthly IWG Newsletter and IWG Webinar Series while we continued to grow our inclusive digital community.<\/span><\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

And, for the first time in IWG history, we were able to provide financial support to advance the women and sport movement and promote inclusion, with thanks to the generosity of Dr Anita White CBE and colleagues at UK Sport who enabled the launch of the Anita White Fund (AWF).<\/span><\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Insight<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Insight remains a key focus for the IWG, and during the second year we were delighted to relaunch the Insight Hub with some significant improvements including updated content.<\/span><\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

We also published ‘The Challenge of Change’, a free downloadable e-book authored by IWG’s Insight Lead Professor Elizabeth Pike which charts the history and impact of the IWG throughout our 30-year history.<\/span><\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Advocacy<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

We continued to welcome new signatories of the Brighton Plus Helsinki Declaration, each of whom are committed to the Declaration principles and sharing their learnings through the IWG network.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

New signatures include:<\/span><\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

– World Rowing<\/span><\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

– International Climbing and Mountaineering Federation\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

– British Waterskiing and Wakeboarding\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

– 2GAP\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

– World Netball\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

– World Netball Foundation<\/span><\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

We also undertook a program of work targeting International and National Federations of Sport with a focus on the value and impact of investing in opportunities for women and girls and we advocated across a range of platforms.<\/span><\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Finally, with the IWG Global Summit happening in July 2026, we kicked off the momentum towards that with the establishment of Summit Corporate Partnerships Group and the appointment of an Event Producer.<\/span><\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
