{"id":6955,"date":"2024-02-15T02:11:24","date_gmt":"2024-02-14T15:11:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/iwgwomenandsport.org\/?p=6955"},"modified":"2024-02-15T02:11:24","modified_gmt":"2024-02-14T15:11:24","slug":"iwg-release-year-one-report","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/old.iwgwomenandsport.org\/fr\/iwg-release-year-one-report\/","title":{"rendered":"IWG release Year One Report"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>IWG is pleased to announce the publication of our Year One Report, which reflects a successful first year of the UK IWG Secretariat.<\/p>\n<h3>Highlights from the report<\/h3>\n<p>We welcomed new signatories to the Brighton Plus Helsinki declaration, each of whom have committed to working towards the principles of the declaration and a world where women and girls thrive in sport and physical activity.<\/p>\n<p>New signatories include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>International Tennis Federation<\/li>\n<li>Lawn Tennis Association<\/li>\n<li>Rugby Football Union<\/li>\n<li>Montenegrin Olympic Committee<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Building the reputation of the IWG within in the UK and globally is and remains a priority. IWG contributed to the UK Government commissioned Independent Review into the future of domestic women&#8217;s football in England through membership of the expert panel.<\/p>\n<p>IWG also collaborated with the Department for Business and Trade (DBT) plus Deloitte in the UK to develop a \u2018Women\u2019s Sport Accelerator\u2019 programme, designed to boost investment and increase broadcast audiences for women\u2019s sport.<\/p>\n<p>Insight is a critical element of the strategy, and highlights here include research from IWG Research Lead Professor Elizabeth Pike, University of Hertfordshire, with all former IWG Co-chairs and Secretary Generals to contribute to the story of the first 30 years of the IWG, which will be available as a free e-book in early 2024.<\/p>\n<p>Several research grants have been secured to fund further research into gender equality activity and policies, and IWG co-hosted the launch of UK Sport research on Gender Equality in International Sports Leadership.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/iwgwomenandsport.org\/about\/iwg-strategic-plan\/iwg-annual-reports\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Download and read the full Year One Report in English, French and Spanish<\/a><\/p>\n<!-- AddThis Advanced Settings generic via filter on the_content --><!-- AddThis Share Buttons generic via filter on the_content -->","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>IWG is pleased to announce the publication of our Year One Report, which reflects a successful first year of the UK IWG Secretariat.
